MUST

We use must to express necessity or strong recommendation or advice.

EXAMPLE

Ø  You must take some medicine for that cough.

Ø  Students must pass the test in their high school.

GRAMMAR

It is a system of rules and principles for speaking and writing a language. 

We use Grammar to refer knowledge of language in the speaker and to the system as written in rules.

MODAL VERB “MAY”

We use May when we are not sure about something and we need to talk about permission.

May is much more formal and polite than can and could and so we can use May for speaking with an authority. Could be (Teacher, professor, doctor and so on.)

Example:

May you borrow the pen tomorrow?
May we come at home?
